"I personally engaged James Finlayson (“Jim”) to be Season Group’s Global Program Manager. He commenced working for us in December 2010 in charge of one of our most important new customers. This customer was forecasted to be at over USD20 million in sales, which was around 20% of our company’s annual revenue. Jim helped us transition production from another US supplier to our factory in China, as well as launch several new models of the products. He also helped us negotiate the Master Services Agreement we signed with the customer.
Jim is a great team player. He had no problems with hopping on a plane from Oregon to Hong Kong a day after I ask him to do so. When in China, he’s always the first one in the office and the last one to leave. He is the type of manager that not only asked you to do things, but when you do not know how to do it, he will get his hands dirty and show you himself how it is done. He is always leading by example- whenever there are tight timelines to deliver prototypes, he would always volunteer not only to hand carry raw materials to our factory but also hand delivery the finished goods to the courier services, just to make sure they got to our customer on time. This is the level of commitment it takes for a project to succeed.
Jim’s strength is definitely his technical knowledge and his systematic approach to launching programs. He is capable of not only communicating about both electronic and mechanical engineering but also providing suggestions as well. He is very through in his documentation and also very effective in chairing meetings.
